For us Ontarian's, Osheaga (Montreal) is probably the most anticipated festival along with WEMF in Algonquin Park but due to the variety of music Osheaga most definitely gets the nod in my books. Until August 3rd I will be doing a countdown of the 30 Most Anticipated Artists for Osheaga. Last years lineup was incredible with the likes of Ratatat, Crystal Castles, Shad, Jamie xx, and MSTRKRFT really putting on some of the top performances in my books. Today I will start off with an honourable mention of artists who didn't quite make my Top 30 (although I still want to see them). Stay tuned and if you live within the distance of making this festival make sure to go cop tickets. These 5 artists I have chosen are ones that barely didn't make my Top 30. I've got three Canadian artists Feist (Nova Scotia native, Broken Social Scene bandmember), Montreal indie rock band Plants and Animals, and Toronto producer Austra in my honourable mention. My two others include Malian duo Amadou and Mariam and Californian rockers Young the Giant.
