Pre-Weekend Bangers Vol.3

The weekend is upon us again and it is time to rage to some electronic music. Plenty of new bangers for this week mainly from the French (some new Feadz and Surkin, some old school Mr.Flash). The other two tracks are from our boy Broke One remixing Evil Nine into nu-disco/house goodness and a Miike Snow remix from New York producer Penguin Prison (who is currently touring with Miike). Meanwhile if you're looking for something to wear this weekend maybe you should check out our friends over at SMBDY to get fitted with  clothing made by and for people who like their dosage of the music electronic, on top of that the designs are absolutely killer (Free shipping for our Vancouverite followers as well) enjoy...

Happy to You

So you can probably guess what todays post is about , the new Miike Snow album. I've listened to it a couple times already and i'm loving it, i've already posted two of the singles (Paddling Out and Black Tin Box). Paddling Out being the catchiest and most upbeat tune of them all and I'll throw in the Jacques Lu Cont Remix of it to feast your ears on, and Black Tin Box with Lykke Li being the darkest song on the album, still loving it though. I'm loving the approach the band has taken with this album though with it's catchy synth riffs making it a very feel good kind of album overall. It's tough to say my favourite between their first self titled album and Happy to You as I feel as though there are more classics on the first album but I can see how Happy To You can definitely grow on people. It's tough to come out strong with a follow up album after such an excellent debut but I believe they pulled it off and for those who loved the first i'm sure they will love the second, here are my favourite songs (if you want to listen to Black Tin Box and Paddling Out just click Miike Snow on the side artist bar) :

Pretender - Miike Snow

The Wave - Miike Snow

Bavarian #1 (Say You Will) - Miike Snow

Archipelago - Miike Snow

Devil's Work - Miike Snow

Paddling Out (Jacques Lu Cont Remix) - Miike Snow

Your End of Weekend Tunes Vol.4

This week our feature tune is a new one from Miike Snow who has previewed two tracks from their new album including "Paddling Out" a very catchy tune indeed. Their new album "Happy to You" will be dropping in March, the first album from them since their self titled album in 2009. Another track that i've been jamming to is "Mayor" from Mount Kimbie, i recommend you go cop their album Crooks & Lovers as it is absolutely awesome. On top of that we have two laidback tunes from Evenings and Small Black and then a old personal favourite from our beloved TEED. Enjoy:
