Osheaga's Most Anticipated #16 - Florence + The Machine

One of the big headliners for the event I'll give a comparison from last year's lineup to Ellie Goulding. I don't really listen a lot to her original music but the remix treatment done on her songs are absolute gold. It seems to be the trend if you're at a festival with an artist who you've remixed that you drop that remix (last year Bassnectar dropped his Ellie Goulding remix for 'Lights') and it so happens to be that a decent amount of artists that are at Osheaga have remixed Florence (The Weeknd, Yeasayer, etc.). Her voice is extremely powerful and it shows in songs like 'Never Let Me Go' and 'Shake It Out' , enjoy...

Your End Of Weekend Tunes Vol.21

Sorry for the belatedness of this post but I hope you all had a sick long weekend and are looking forward to your four day week. I've got some awesome tunes to tie your starting off with an incredible remix from Derek Walin of The xx which has the blogosphere buzzin'. As always i've included a French Express tune, this week from 'Get Famous!' and speaking of French a new Breakbot track which I guarantee will put a smile on your face. I posted the Bondax remix of AlunaGeorge's track not too long ago but the original is just as good and a bit more downtempo. Supporting Toronto artists as always I've got this dancefloor killer of a remix from Bridge & Law also known as Torontonian/McGill student Luke Ranalli, also i've thrown in Falcon's remix of New Lands by Justice, enjoy..

Your End of Weekend Tunes Vol.7

It's been a while since my last post but I will promise you to keep em up the next few weeks, for all of you back across the Atlantic you'll be heading back to class but here are some tunes to lift your spirits, the first song I have to give credit to the bros at Indie Shuffle for finding but it was too good to share, best remix of heard yet of a classic tune. Speaking of classic tunes i've thrown in three old favourites this week with a Redial remix of Lisztomania, a good ole Crystal Castles tune (new album for them forthcoming in May) and a Tribe Called Quest classic produced by the great Pete Rock. And the Hodgy Beats track is a new one off his free EP (http://ofwolfgangkta.myshopify.com/products/hodgy-beats-untitled-ep) which you can cop at that link, the likes of Flying Lotus and The Alchemist have producing credits on it, I recommend. Oh and also an extra treat with a some nice nu disco vibes from Flight Facilities.
